753

Good morning, Miami!

This morning as my train went around a bend, I could see Mt. Fuji so clearly.  The snow-capped mountain looks so beautiful glistening under the sun against a clear blue sky.

That reminds me, today is a special day in Japan, isn't it?  It is 753 day! I googled "753" and a lot of information about the holiday popped up.  I envy Japanese children because they get to have such an experience.  They look so cute in their little kimonos.

According to Wikipedia.....

"Children—who up until the age of three were required by custom to have shaven heads—were allowed to grow out their hair. Boys of age five could wear hakama for the first time, while girls of age seven replaced the simple cords they used to tie their kimono with the traditional obi."

Enjoy your day!
