Going To
Both "will" and "be going to" are used to talk about the future, but they are not the same! The difference depends on when one made the decision.
* We use "be going to" for plans that one decided before the moment of speaking. These are strong plans or intentions.
* Example: "I am going to visit Kyoto next month." (The ticket is already bought.)
* We use "will" for decisions that one makes at the moment of speaking. These are immediate offers, promises, or sudden decisions.
* Example: "I'll help you with your bag." (The decision was made just now.)
Knowing this small difference will make English sound much more natural!
