So yesterday during a private lesson, I was talking to a student about batteries. Two of the most famous battery companies in the U.S. are Duracell and Energizer. This is a commercial for Energizer. I think it is hilarious. Battery sizes in the U.S. and Japan are the same, but the names are different. We also have one other type that is square-shaped. Here are some common phrases and terms used when talking about batteries:
1. The batteries are dead.
2. My batteries are drained.
3. I need to recharge.
4. My phone is out of juice.
5. I need to replace the batteries.
