I always see people patiently standing in line outside popular ramen shops. I have to admit, I hate standing in line, and I usually give up if there are more than three people in line. Japanese people have so much patience!
If you want to enter somewhere like a train or concert or popular restaurant that many people visit, you need to get in line. If there are many people, it might take over an hour in line! If you try to cut in line, people will get angry. I usually look at the back of the line and decide if it's a long line or a short line. If it's a long line, I'm gone!
