#813 Rainy Day Strategies

皆さん、こんにちは！今日もまた雨が降っていますね。今日は、日本とアメリカの雨の日の過ごし方の違いについてお話ししたいと思います。

It’s raining again today, but it’s okay because I always carry my folding umbrella. I’ve noticed that most Japanese people carry one all the time! This is a big difference from my hometown. In Pensacola, like most Americans, I hardly ever carried an umbrella.

I think the reason is simple: people don't walk much there and instead drive everywhere they need to go. If it started raining, I would simply try to get a nearby parking spot, pull my coat over my head, and run from my car to the building!
